An Uncle Comes to the Rescue

A baby is trapped in a car after it goes down a 100 ft cliff.  To the rescue.. her uncle.  T. Blake Kimbrell was in the right place at the right time.  His little niece was still stuck in the car after an accident caused the car to go down a 100 ft cliff.  He used his light on his phone to be able to rescue his niece recording it all at the same time. He was following his sister as they went home when she lost control of the car and crashed down a cliff. The car was totally upside down with all the windows smashed out .  As he talked to the 11 month old telling her “Uncle Blake is going to get you out of here” he finally after two minutes hears a little cry.  He worked very hard , as we watch, until he is able to free the little one.  What a wonderful result.  I am sure he would do anything to save that little one.  He is so excited when he is able to pull the little girl free from the wrecked car.  Great job Blake.  What a great uncle you are and our hero for the day.

A Beautiful Bride with a Beautiful Song

Everyone invited to a wedding thought this would be your average wedding march played as the bride walks down the aisle with her dad.  Maria Holand Tøsse surprised everyone and especially her beloved one Ronny Eidsvik, when she went up the aisle singing in Alesund Church. As he walked her down the aisle her dad Charles Tøsse topped it all with his singing to the groom. It was all accompanied by great singers and musicians. This is a beautiful gift that the bride presented to her groom and to all in attendance.  He was truly touched as his bride walks down the aisle with her father to her new husband.  What an amazing voice.  This makes her special day even more special for all who were there thinking it was just going to be an average wedding.  But no this was like no other wedding they had seen.  How beautiful is the bride but her gift to her new husband is amazing.  We are so thankful that they shared this with all of us.  I hope you enjoyed this as much as I did.

Reunited with His Dad

32-year-old Gad lost contact with his father Melvin 7 years ago. When Gad was 16, both his parents went separate ways with his father Melvin relocating to the United States to start a new life. Gad’s wife Hayley contacted this radio station to help reconnect the two.   The son wonders if it is his fault that his dad  left and didn’t contact him anymore.   He has not been able to talk to him in 7 years and hasn’t seen him in 15 years.  His father lost track of everyone and didn’t know to get ahold of him.  He said he wanted to contact him but didn’t know how to reach him.  This radio show helped him connect and start his life together again.  He didn’t even know that he had grandkids.  We can only hope that these two families have reconnected and maybe some day will be able to see each other again.  Never let the time slip by and you don’t reach out to your distant family. They may be thinking of you too.  Too soon time will pass and they won’t be there to talk to. Don’t let that happen to you.  So happy for this son and his dad to be reunited.

After months of training the Gibsons were able to add this boy to their family (they already had 3 children).  What a great gift they gave to this little boy.  Thank you for taking care of these little ones and adopt them.  You two are great people.  Thank you to all you people who take in Foster Children and give them a healthy home.

Two Vets Reunited

Two Navy shipmates and Vietnam War veterans have been reunited after a 38-year search. Rick Mueller and Joe Martinez served together in 1971 aboard the U.S.S. White Plains.“They called us M&M – Martinez and Mueller,” Martinez said. Mueller tried to reach out to Martinez in 1976 at a Denver gas station with a phone booth and five dollars in change calling numbers in the phonebook, but was unsuccessful. He sent out many letters trying to find his friend. Then, recently, Mueller received a letter from Martinez, which said, “I have been trying to reach you. You were my best friend.” This is a homecoming that was 38 years in the making.  These two were thrown together when they met in the military.  They found an immediate connection and became lifelong friends.  At the end of the war they lost touch.  Now in this video they find each other and it is like they never lost eachother.  A friendship as special as this one is hard to come by.  How wonderful that they were reunited.

Amputee Learns to Walk for His Bride

13 years Kevin Taylor broke his leg and then contracted a nerve condition.  Doctors told Kevin he had the worse case they had ever seen.  He had to have his leg amputated.  He met Kim and fell in love.  The fact that he is in a wheelchair does bother her.  She fell in love with the man not the chair.  Kevin has been working on how to walk.  He has never been able to walk since she met him.  Once he decided to ask her to marry him Kevin started secretly working with a therapist to gain strength and learn to walk.  He has been doing it so he could give this gift to his bride on their wedding day.  When the minister says all rise, that is when Kevin will stand for the first time in front of Kim and walk to her.  She was shocked.  She knows that he will be able to do anything now.  It just proves that unconditional love makes miracles.  The lesson of the is story is to Be positive, Love often and make every day count.

The Highway Man Gets Saved

Thomas Weller aka the San Diego Highwayman has been driving the highways of San Diego for 50 years looking for people who need help. He spent his time looking for people who needs help along the San Diego highways.  When he was 16 years old, he drove his car into a ditch. A man came along and rescued him only asking that he pay it forward one day. Since that time, Weller has rescued thousand of people who were out of gas, had a flat, overheated, or stranded in one way or another. Weller hands them a card that says ” You don’t owe me a thing. I’ve been there too. Someone once helped me out, just the way I’m helping you. If you really want to pay me back, here’s what you do: Don’t let the chain of love end with you. Back in August of 2011, Weller’s famous rescue car “Beulah” was totalled during a rescue. The remains of his prized car still sit in his back yard. Weller simply can’t afford to repair the car but has dreams of getting her back on the road while he’s still able to help others.Back in 2011 someone crashed into his beloved “Beulah”, the car he’s been driving since 1966. He loves this car.  When hearing about Thomas’ story a few auto repair guys decided to do something to thank Thomas for all he has done in the last 50 years.  They decided to fix get Beulah running again.  This video is when the Highwayman and Beulah are reunited.  He is quite literally speachless.  He can’t believe that these guys would do this for him.  They can’t believe that Thomas could do what he has been doing for the last 50 years.  Thank you to Brent, Rick and the people of San Diego who donated the money to get this car fixed.

Your Cupcakes Are Stale

This is a delightful video about a lady who owns a cupcake store.  She is a hardworking mother of 4. She has had a pretty rough life.  A couple of years ago she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. She has a son that has a dibiliterating disease and the medical  bills are climbing.  Jackie O has come along to help her out.  She is going to pretend to be a disgruntled customers saying that the cupcakes she was sold are stale.  When she returns the cupcakes she finds that she has received $10,000.  What a surprise for such a deserving mother.  She is understandably quite moved and can’t believe that someone would do this for her.  Isn’t it amazing when people are able to help out other people in need.  Not everyone can hand out $10,000 but you can do some things to make life easier for those around you that need help.  Please do what you can for others around you.  Take a moment to watch for needs.  Share when you do find a need with others who can also help.  We live in community to help eachother.  Be there for others.

Firemen repay Waitress Good Deed

One act of kindness led to another in New Jersey when a waitress’ decision to pay for some firefighters’ breakfast prompted strangers to help her.

Two firefighters stopped in a diner after an overnight shift containing a warehouse fire earlier this week and had breakfast at the Route 130 Diner in Delran, according to ABC News affiliate WPVI.

A waitress, Liz Woodward, overheard the firefighters, Tim Young and and Paul Higgins, talking about the fire. That’s when she decided to pay them back for their efforts, according to WPVI.

Paul Hullings is a firefighter who went into a diner after fighting a fire one night recently.  The waitress, Liz Woodward heard their story about the fire and when she gave them the check she had written a note on the back of the check — complete with drawn fireman’s helmet and ax. So touched the firefighters then shared a photo of the check, along with a call for his friends to visit the diner, and to “tip big” if they ever had Woodward as a waitress. He didn’t stop there. He wrote another post highlighting a GoFundMe campaign that Woodward had started in December to pay for a wheelchair accessible van for her father. ”Turns out, the young lady who gave us a free meal is really the one that could use the help…” Young wrote. Since then, Young and 185 other people — mostly strangers who had heard about her decision to pay for the firefighters’ meal — have donated. The GoFundMe page was originally hoping to raise $17,000 — and has now collected more than $38,000. (UPDATE- as of Saturday 8/15 it is up to $73,000).   Woodward posted a lengthy message on her own Facebook account, praising the work of firefighters and asking others to pay it forward.  ”Look for those opportunities because they are everywhere. You can make a difference — it doesn’t always have to be an elaborate production or effort- it’s always the little things that have the greatest impact,” she wrote. A small act of kindness turns into another.  How amazing.

Little Boy with A Big Heart Giving Smiles

Jaden Hayes lost both of his parents at a young age. But he is determined to live life with joy. As Steve Hartman shows us, the six-year-old is embarking on a mission to turn frowns into smiles.  This little guy got the idea that he was just was so tired of seeing people sad.  He wanted to see people happy again.  So,  he told his aunt that he wanted to share some joy with people around his community.  He asked her to get some small toys.  They got some beads, some rubber ducks and lots of small toys.  He just waits on the sidewalk with his aunt and watches for people without smiles.  That is when he goes up and just gives them a toy.  He loves the surprised looks and of course, the smiles.  What a wonderful little man.  He cares about people and with all he has gone through he just wants to bring joy to people.  What a wonderful heart he has for others.  Thank you Jaden for showing us all how we should take care of others.
