Team Helps Save Boy

Here is a story that just reminds us that there are some wonderful kids out there in the world today. A middle school student was by himself over by  Fenton High School football field.  He was approached by a middle aged man the boy ran away towards the football field.  When the football team saw what was happening they got between the man and the young boy.  The man was gesturing to the boy to come to him.  The boy told the team, “Do let him take me”.  They not only got him away from the man but even took a picture of his license plate and a description of his vehicle.  The team came together as a team to help rescue the boy.  They feel like they learned what to do by seeing this scenerio from movies and tv.  The police said they could not arrest the man since he did not actually do anything wrong but they will keep an eye on him and thankfully that little boy is safe because of this team and how they jumped to his rescue.  Way to go boys.  Watching your surroundings always is the best.  Great job.

Little Boy with A Big Heart Giving Smiles

Jaden Hayes lost both of his parents at a young age. But he is determined to live life with joy. As Steve Hartman shows us, the six-year-old is embarking on a mission to turn frowns into smiles.  This little guy got the idea that he was just was so tired of seeing people sad.  He wanted to see people happy again.  So,  he told his aunt that he wanted to share some joy with people around his community.  He asked her to get some small toys.  They got some beads, some rubber ducks and lots of small toys.  He just waits on the sidewalk with his aunt and watches for people without smiles.  That is when he goes up and just gives them a toy.  He loves the surprised looks and of course, the smiles.  What a wonderful little man.  He cares about people and with all he has gone through he just wants to bring joy to people.  What a wonderful heart he has for others.  Thank you Jaden for showing us all how we should take care of others.

Little boy with a big heart

Boy helps firefighters find him

A 13-year-old Maryland boy impeccably directed firefighters through his burning home to the room where he and sister were Sunday morning, ultimately saving their lives.Throughout the 11-minute call, Marcus can be heard leading firefighters to his location and bravely calming his little sister down. Marcus, 13, immediately called authorities when he saw smoke inside his home.He told the 911 dispatcher he was at home with his big brother, mother, step-father and 9-year-old little sister. At one point, the sister says “We’re going to die!” and Marcus responds “Stop! Please don’t say that!” The 13-year-old  boy remained calm, taking direction from the dispatcher all while checking on his family during a fire at his family home. The teen then flawlessly explained how firefighters could find him. The 911 dispatcher worked with the boy to keep his sister calm as firefighters worked hard to get to the family.  When firefighters arrived, they broke the wrong window to rescue the children, but Marcus quickly corrected the situation. One firefighter, 25-year-old Lt. Kevin Ward, got to the scene and immediately went upstairs to rescue Marcus when he felt his little sister tugging at his leg. Lt. Ward immediately took his air mask off and put it on the 9-year-old, ABC News said. The two siblings were treated for smoke inhalation at a nearby children’s hospital. Their mother, step-dad and brother were also taken to a nearby hospital but weren’t seriously injured. What amazing young man to save his family.  Way to go Marcus.

Family Cat Saves Little Boy

This story is flying across the Internet and the news.  It was brought to us from Davilyn F, LeeAnn M and Joanna W.  If you haven’t seen it yet you must watch this amazing story of a family cat and the neighborhood dog.  It all happened in Bakersfield, CA when little 4 year old Jeremy was in the front yard riding his bike.  He was all alone when a neighborhood dog came up from behind and attacked him.  You can see the horrifying scene from the security camera when the dog bites Jeremy and drags him off his bike.  Just then the family cat Tara runs out and jumps on the dog chasing him away. Yes the cat comes to the rescue.  It is amazing that the cat could rescue this little boy and stop the attack.  Have you ever seen a cat chase off an attacking dog?  The family had adopted the cat 5 years ago when the cat followed them home from the park.  Jeremy has always been special to the cat even when he was a baby.  And as Jeremy says, “She’s a hero”.  And we think so too.
