Amputee Learns to Walk for His Bride

13 years Kevin Taylor broke his leg and then contracted a nerve condition.  Doctors told Kevin he had the worse case they had ever seen.  He had to have his leg amputated.  He met Kim and fell in love.  The fact that he is in a wheelchair does bother her.  She fell in love with the man not the chair.  Kevin has been working on how to walk.  He has never been able to walk since she met him.  Once he decided to ask her to marry him Kevin started secretly working with a therapist to gain strength and learn to walk.  He has been doing it so he could give this gift to his bride on their wedding day.  When the minister says all rise, that is when Kevin will stand for the first time in front of Kim and walk to her.  She was shocked.  She knows that he will be able to do anything now.  It just proves that unconditional love makes miracles.  The lesson of the is story is to Be positive, Love often and make every day count.

A Man’s Walk Touches Hearts

Here is a story about how generous people can be when they hear about someone in need.  The Detroit Free Press ran a story on James and that started a firestorm of compasion.  This story about a Detroit man who commutes about 21 miles a day on foot to and from work has spurred reaction from across the nation, including social media fundraisers that have netted more than$80,000 in donations as of 6:30 p.m. Monday.    James Robertson commutes about 21 miles everyday some on foot and some on the bus. He leaves for work at 8am and doesn’t arrive back home until way after dark.  James’ aging Honda Accord quit working back in 2005, and after repeated cutbacks in bus service the walking segments of his daily commutes grew years ago to take more time than he spends at his eight-hour factory job.  He is so thankful for a job that he would never consider not making his way to work.

Many different people, some college students, some businessmen and even a car dealer has offered to give him a car.  So much money so far that he will not only get a car but enough to also pay for insurance and gas.  They are even putting together a management team to handle these overwhelming donations.  What a wonderful story of generosity.

Have a GREAT day…by making it a great day for someone else!!!
