Teen finds wallet and returns it.

Here is a short video with a great story.  A young man found a wallet that contained $2300.  His family was struggling with expenses but he never considered keeping the money. He turned it in right away to his school officials.  The wallet was claimed by a veteran who had lost his wallet.  The boys family was so proud of him for being doing the right thing.  When his mother sent him a text telling her how proud she was of him his reply was “You should be thanking yourself, you raised me”.  See when (as a parent) you are never really sure if they hear you and understand your lessons then you see something like this and realize, they are getting it.  Great job Mom and Dad for teaching this young man right from wrong and how to do the right thing.  AND thank you Tommy for thinking of others and doing the right thing.  Also, thanks to the vet who did reward Tommy.  BTW – I am sorry, but this video does not stop at the end of this story but continues on with a weather report from a local station. We could not edit this so just accept my apologies for this at the end of this great story.

Have a GREAT day…by making it a great day for someone else!!!

If You Find A Wallet – What Would You Do?

Here is a story that will make you think.  It will make you wonder.  It will make you doubt the good in people.  Stay with it.  Watch it to the end.  This video is put together by a guy who likes to test people.  This time Dennis intentially drops his wallet to find out what people do when it happens.  He makes sure to have his credit card and money in the wallet.  On the first few tries people stop him right away and tell him he dropped the wallet.  He walked a little further and drops the wallet again.  This time it is picked up by a passerby.  They follow him as he makes he way to the mall.  They continue to follow him after he makes a purchase and walks on.  Could he be using the money or the credit card he finds in the wallet?  Where is he walking to now?  Does this make you think that this guy could take what he found and use the money?  They continue to follwo him.  Now they are noticing that the area he is walking to is getting familiar.  It is his neighborhood.  The place where Dennis lives.  He walks up to his house.  Now is the time to confront him.  This is when he find out the truth. He did not use his money.  He brought the wallet back to him.  So surprised and pleased by what he did Dennis insists he take the money as a reward.  How wonderful that he walked to return the wallet.  I just knew he would.

If you find a wallet

Wallet is Returned with Extra $20

Have you ever lost your wallet?  Even if it ended up being found right there in your own home, at the time when you think you have lost your wallet (at some public place), your whole world caves in on you mentally.  That is why stories like today’s ALGN make me feel so good. I was told about this story a couple of days ago, but it was only an article (nothing online). Then, today, Tami C. found a video of the story and sent it my way.  The story goes like this:  A 17 year old student went to go see his Marlins play last week.  After returning home, he noticed that he had lost his wallet.  I’m sure he was very worried.  But, just a couple of days later, his wallet was returned by some anonymous good samaritan.  However, this time, the story gets even better.  Along with his wallet, there was a note that pointed out that, not only was all of his money still in it, but the good samaritan had given him an ADDITIONAL $20.   He / she asked only that the owner of the wallet do something nice for someone else.  As of the time when the Today Show talked about this, he was still thinking of what he would do for someone else.  I love happy endings and this video does just that with this story of a wallet being returned with ALL the money in it…and an extra $20.

Have a GREAT day…by making it a great day for someone else!!!
